Jon Huntsman, former Utah governor and U.S. ambassador to China, has announced he’s seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
Huntsman, 51, has held a number of trade and diplomatic positions, going back to the Reagan and first Bush administrations. He was Utah governor from 2005 to 2009. A former Mormon missionary to Taiwan, Huntsman resigned from the governor’s seat after President Obama nominated him for the ambassador’s position.
