President Barack Obama made a surprise visit to Afghanistan, landing aboard Air Force One at Bagram Air Base under the cover of darkness.
The president planned to join Afghan President Hamid Karzai to sign a new Strategic Forces Agreement, setting out a path for the U.S. troop drawdown in Afghanistan.
The president will speak to the American people in a live televised address from Afghanistan tonight at 7:30 ET.
