Former President Bill Clinton nominated Barack Obama to again be the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.

"I proudly nominate him to be the standard-bearer of the Democratic Party," Clinton said on the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

President Obama is expected to formally accept the nomination Thursday during the final speech of the convention.
