CNN Breaking News

Presidential nominee Mitt Romney appears to have received a one-point bounce after the Republican convention, according to a CNN/ORC International poll.

In the poll, Romney and President Barack Obama are tied for support among likely voters at 48%. Romney also got a slight bump in his favorability rating.

The poll result, typical after conventions in the modern political era, comes just as the Democrats kick off their convention in North Carolina. Featured speakers tonight include San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and first lady Michelle Obama.

Follow complete coverage of the convention, including key speeches carried live, on CNN TV, CNN.com and CNN's mobile apps.
