CNN Breaking News

Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan have arrived at Newlin Hall on the campus of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, for tonight's 2012 vice presidential debate.

Biden and Ryan will take part in a 90-minute debate focused on domestic issues, national security and foreign policy. Martha Raddatz of ABC News will be the moderator.

Raddatz will open the debate at 9:01 p.m. ET with the first question for Biden. Each candidate will have two minutes to respond and then additional time for back-and-forth discussion. There will be nine segments of 10 minutes each. At the end of the debate, candidates will have 90 seconds for closing remarks, with Biden going first.
