The 2012 Nobel Prize for physics was awarded Tuesday to two scientists for work related to quantum systems. Serge Haroche, a French man, and David J. Wineland, an American, received the award "for ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring & manipulation of individual quantum systems," the Nobel Prize committee announced Tuesday.
