The 2012 Nobel Prize for chemistry was awarded Wednesday to two American researchers for their work on a mechanism that is part of the "fight or flight" response.
Robert J. Lefkowitz, of Duke University, and Brian K. Kobilka, from Stanford, were honored "for studies of G-protein-coupled receptors."
