The man accused of a shooting massacre at a Connecticut elementary school is now being named as Adam Lanza by three U.S. law enforcement officials, contrary to what investigators said initially.
Earlier, sources had identified Ryan Lanza, who is the brother of Adam, as the shooter. Ryan Lanza was picked up from a home in Hoboken, New Jersey, and has been questioned but has not been labeled as a suspect.
CNN’s Susan Candiotti also has updated information about the suspect’s mother, Nancy Lanza. Her body was found in a house in Newtown, not at the school as was earlier stated by sources close to the investigation.
Twenty children and six adults were killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School this morning. The suspect was also found dead at the school.
