The International Olympic Committee has called on disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong to return the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympic Games, IOC communications director Mark Adams said today.

The request comes after Armstrong reportedly admitted to Oprah Winfrey that he used performance-enhancing drugs after years of denial. His interview with Winfrey airs tonight.

In October, the International Cycling Union stripped the 41-year-old of his seven Tour de France titles.
