The cause of Sunday's power outage at the Super Bowl in New Orleans has been traced to an electrical relay device, Entergy New Orleans Inc. announced.
Super Bowl XLVII ground to a halt early in the third quarter when about half of the lights in the Superdome went out. The outage lasted about 35 minutes.
This electrical relay device has since been removed from service and new replacement equipment is being evaluated, the power company said.
