A gunman is holding several Gwinnett County, Georgia, firefighters hostage, a police spokesman said.
The hostage situation occurred after the firefighters responded to a medical call at a residence in suburban Atlanta, said police spokesman Ed Ritter.
Five firefighters were initially being held, but one of them was released, a fire department spokesman said.
