CNN Breaking News

At least 50 more people have been found alive amid the rubble of a garment factory that collapsed Wednesday in Bangladesh, according to the Bangladesh fire service deputy director Maj. Mizamur Rahman.

The newly discovered survivors were found inside a cavity after rescue workers dug a tunnel through the rubble of what had been the third floor, Rahman said. It will be several hours before rescue workers will be able to get to them.

So far, more than 2,300 other people have been rescued from the wreckage; more than 300 died.
