Jodi Arias, the woman convicted of killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, is asking an Arizona jury to spare her life, saying she could teach people to read in prison and have a positive impact on inmates.
Watch Arias live on CNN TV and HLNTV and follow updates on CNN.com, HLNTV.com and CNN's mobile apps.
Arias insisted that she is a victim of domestic violence.
When jurors found her guilty of first-degree murder earlier this month, they said that Arias was "exceptionally cruel" when she murdered Alexander in 2008. Arias stabbed Alexander 29 times, slit his neck from ear to ear and shot him in the face.
Arias, 32, admitted killing Alexander, but claimed self-defense.
