CNN Breaking News

The body of Boston Marathon bombings suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been entombed thanks to a "courageous and compassionate individual (who) came forward," police in Worcester, Massachusetts, said today.

Police did not say where the body was entombed, but did say that the body was "no longer in the city of Worcester." The city's police chief "thanks the community that provided the burial site." police said in a statement.

Tsarnaev and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, are accused of setting off two deadly explosions at the Boston Marathon on April 15. Tsarnaev died of gunshot wounds and trauma after an April 19 gunbattle with police.

His uncle claimed his body but had trouble finding a cemetery that would bury Tsarnaev.
