President Barack Obama today is giving the first of several speeches this summer that he hopes will get people talking about the economy.
He is scheduled to speak at 12:55 p.m. ET at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
Obama promised supporters this week that he will talk about "how we need to put behind us the distractions and the phony debates" dominating politics.
