The jury has reached a verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer accused of murdering Trayvon Martin.

The six women of the jury were charged with deciding whether Zimmerman is guilty of second-degree murder, guilty of manslaughter or not guilty in the death of Martin, who was killed by a single gunshot to the heart in Sanford, Florida, in February 2012.
The case grabbed national attention when Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, was not immediately charged in the death of Martin, who was African-American.
