The train that derailed in northwestern Spain last week, killing 79 people, was going 153 kilometers per hour (95 mph) when it derailed, the superior tribunal of the Galicia region announced today, citing information from data recorders.
An earlier alert from CNN.com incorrectly stated the train's speed at the time of the crash.
