Hiring in the U.S. continued at a moderate pace in July, the U.S. government reported Friday.
The economy added 162,000 jobs last month, falling below forecasts. Economists surveyed by CNNMoney had predicted employers would add 180,000 jobs.
The unemployment rate ticked down to 7.4% from 7.6% the month before.
