Russian President Vladimir Putin says in a friendly meeting with President Barack Obama they talked about Syria, but "we stuck to our guns."

Putin said they had a "constructive" meeting at the G20 conference.

"He doesn't agree with me, I don't agree with him. But we listened to each other," Putin told reporters in St. Petersburg. He said they also talked about ways to solve the Syrian crisis peacefully.
