Rick Santorum will win the Mississippi Republican primary, CNN projects.
Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are in a close battle for second.
Santorum also will win today's Alabama primary, CNN projects. Romney led by 8 to 10 points in both states in some polls as late as Monday.
Thirty-seven of the 40 Mississippi delegates are tied to the primary, and the state will award those delegates proportionally. A total of 1,144 delegates is needed to clinch the GOP nomination.
Hawaii and American Samoa are also holding caucuses today.
